§ 12-973. Definitions.

The following words and terms, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

Commission or (PUC) means the Texas Public Utility Commission.

PURA means the Texas Public Utility Regulatory Act.

REP means a retail electric provider.

Resident means any electric customer located within the city, except the City of Rockwall, regardless of customer class.

Revocation means the cessation of all REP business operations within a municipality, pursuant to municipal order.

Suspension means the cessation of all REP business operations within a municipality associated with obtaining new customers, pursuant to municipal order.
