§ 28-60. Defensive driving fee; expiration of driver's license; motor vehicle registration and motor vehicle inspection.

  • (a)

    A fee of $10.00 shall be charged as a special expense each time a person requests to take a defensive driving course for the purpose of having the charge dismissed after the successful completion of the course. The fee shall be paid into the city treasury to recover the costs incurred by the city in processing the person's request for defensive driving school.

    (b)

    A fee of $10.00 shall be assessed as a special expense when the charge of driving with an expired driver's license has been remedied.

    (c)

    A fee of $10.00 shall be assessed as a special expense when the charge of driving with an expired motor vehicle registration has been remedied.

    (d)

    A fee of $10.00 shall be assessed as a special expense when the charge of driving with an expired vehicle inspection certificate has been remedied.
