§ 32-310. Political signs.

  • A person commits an offense if a person displays a political sign on private property unless a person has the permission of the property owner.

    (1)

    The sign may not:

    a.

    Have a sign area greater than 36 square feet;

    b.

    Be more than eight feet high;

    c.

    Be illuminated; or

    d.

    Have a moving part.

    (2)

    This subsection does not apply to a sign, including a billboard, that contains primarily a political message on a temporary basis and that is generally available for rent or purchase to carry commercial advertising or other messages that are not primarily political.
