§ 36-136. Ineligible costs for art in public places funds.

  • The following are ineligible costs for art in public places funding:

    (1)

    Services or utilities needed to routinely operate or maintain the artwork.

    (2)

    Modifications in or improvements to building surfaces or structural elements of the building.

    (3)

    Directional elements such as signage, except where these elements are integral parts of the original works of art.

    (4)

    Art objects which are mass produced of standard design such as playground equipment or fountains.

    (5)

    Landscape architecture and landscape gardening except where these elements are designed by the artist and recognized by the art review team (ART) commission as an integral part of the work of art.
