V. - RELOCATION CRITERIA

  • A.

    Structure relocated within the district should be rebuilt in compliance with these guidelines and retain and maintain the original architectural details, materials, design and character.

    B.

    A structure may be relocated into the Historic District if it possesses architectural character similar to existing historic structures on the block face.

    C.

    A structure may be moved from one site to another in the Historic District if:

    1.

    The integrity of location and setting of the building in its original location has been lost or is seriously threatened;

    2.

    The new location will be similar in setting and siting;

    3.

    The structure will be compatible with the buildings adjacent to the new location; and

    4.

    The relocation of the building will not result in a negative visual impact on the site and any surrounding historic structures in the area from which it will be removed.
