§ 12-1104. Issuance.

  • (a)

    Certificate; duration. When the applicant meets the requirements of section 12-1103, the building official shall issue a certificate. The certificate shall expire at the end of three years after issuance.

    (b)

    Special certificate; duration. A special certificate may be issued by the building official under special or extenuating circumstances, when the building official determines that public health production will not be compromised. Special certificates are valid only in the jurisdiction where issued and shall expire no later than at the end of one year after issuance.
